I've asked this a few times. I have tried losing weight, but then I get discouraged, or forget! %26amp; then I catch myself eating fatty foods!
It's hard for me to fight cravings sometimes. How can I fight cravings and stay motivated??
I don't like my body at all. I used to be a good, average weight. Then over 2 summers, I gained a lot of weight. %26amp; now I am disgusted by my body! What can I do to lose weight? I'd like to lose at least 40 pounds within 4-5 months. Is that possible?
%26amp; I'd like some work-out tips? Their is no gym within walking distance around here. But, can you give me some tips on what I can do at home??
oh %26amp; what should I eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? That's the hard part for me. I don't know what to eat. Because somethings, I think are healthy, then I find out, they aren't that healthy at all.
Please %26amp; thank you. :)
I'd really appreciate your help.I really want to lose weight. Can anyone give me some advice/tips? (please!)?
Here's my advice,
As for the cravings and staying motivated, that's a problem which every dieter faces. You've just got to keep your goal in mind - imagine how much better you'll look and feel after you've lost the excess weight. Try not to think of it as 'going on a diet' - just think of it as being healthier and eating in moderation. Also, you should allow yourself a treat once in a while, as it's better not to deprive yourself - the more you do this, the more depressed you'll get, and the more likely you are to break down and 'binge'. Break down your goal into individual 'mini' goals - say if you wanted to get to 120 lbs and you were 160 lbs, you could break it down into 155, 150, 145, 140, etc. Treat yourself for each of those mini goals - then you can have something to look forward to.
Try not to hate your body so much. Once you start being a bit more positive, it'll be much easier to lose weight, honestly. Get into a positive mind frame about things. Believe that you can lose weight, think yourself thinner. You might subconsciously be reluctant to give up the 'fat' mindset - think about this.
As for exercises, sit-ups and cardio work-outs are great for that sort of thing. Do half an hour sessions of home aerobics 4-7 times a week and you'll start to see a difference. Jogging and/or walking is great, too. You can do it in the park or round the block - especially if you have a dog, that way you can work out AND get the dogwalk out of the way at the same time. If you want to make working out more 'fun', take up trampolining or get an exercise buddy to keep you motivated.
It's difficult to tell you exactly what to eat for a whole day, but I can tell you that the best way to lose weight is to drink plenty of water, cut down on carbohydrates and dairy, and eat lots of fruit and veg. And try and keep your calories in the 1400-1800 range if you're a woman - you will need more if you're male. Just cut out junk food, saturated fats and artificial sugars - it's really not that hard - and eat healthily. Combined with exercising daily, you'll manage to lose all this weight in a few months. 40 lbs is quite a lot, but you can do it if you have the right mindset.
Hope that helped x
