Advice and tips for Meps (navy)?

im leaving this fridayAdvice and tips for Meps (navy)?
When you go to MEPS for the first time, tell them about any medical condition and injuries you've had since childhood. If you used illegal drugs in the past tell both your recruiters and the service branch you're enlisting in at MEPS about it also. You'll take two drug tests, first one at MEPS and a second one in recruit training when you first arrive there. Also tell them about any past traffic tickets and altercations you've had with the court of law. Just be honest with them about anything at MEPS even if you think it's embarrassing. The service branch you're enlisting in at MEPS and your recruiters can help you get a waiver so long as you're honest with them. They've seen it all and heard it all before. However, if you fail to disclose to MEPS about any past medical condition and they found out if you get injured during recruit training, recent drug use, or altercations with the law, you'll get kicked out of the military for ';fraudulently enlisting'; and you won't be enlist in the military ever again. Good luck!Advice and tips for Meps (navy)?
If you used illegal drugs in the past just be honest with your recruiters and the Navy office at MEPS. They can help you get a waiver if you tell them the truth before you go to Great Lakes.

But if you did not disclosed your past drug use and you fail the drug test while you are in bootcamp or currently in the Navy, you're gone for good. The Military has zero tolerance on drug use. Check this guy's post out. http://answers.yahoo.com/quest鈥?/a> Good luck!

You have nothing to worry about. Usually the navy sends you to a hotel the night before, most likely with a roommate. MEPS is basically one big physical and psych exam. Depending on what your recruiter chose, you will either be there two days or one to get tested and take the ASVAB. Just be ready to sit and wait, and hurry up.
You should only be there for one morning/afternoon.

It pretty simple really. They do a urine/blood screen and some simple exercises, then you go and formally pick out your job. Breakfast sucked at the hotel we were at. If you are at MEPS for lunch, you get a bag lunch...chips, sandwich, apple....

The dr will go very very in depth about your medical history, and you should have by this point take your ASVAB. You will sign all of your papers and you can't back out from here on out. They also have you choose the people they should contact incase of your death.....thats when it hit me, that it was for real!

Good luck, its nothing to worry about.
when i went to meps one of the guys in my group fell asleep while siting down. we had to stand up for 3 hours after that.

when i went to meps i was glad i bought some money, meps is very boring. there are vending machines if you get hungry. and there are video games if you brought quarters.
Tell your Recruiter EVERYTHING before you go. DO NOT all of a sudden ';remember'; something while you are at MEPS.
Dress nicely and be polite - you shouldn't have any problems.
