I FIND SHERIF'S ANSWER PERFECT

Duffy the Vampire, no more star -gate for u lol

MALARIA??? that disappeared from Egypt since World -War 2

Mekkah, is the name of a city and we don't worship ';him';

we don't like people to walk in front of us when we pray, cause we need concentration , but it's no big deal

no one will grab your hair , don't worry.. and if they offer camels as ur dowry.. this is an Egyptian way to laugh with the tourists who think we still don't have cars..

make sure to have Little change for the toilet, and other little services here and there.VERY IMPORTANT

on the Nile-cruise u will just love it.. the crew will be fun, and the saiing is wonderful

N.B. please ask ur guide about the average prices before u buy to avoid any disappointment.

have a nice tripTips and advice for my trip to Egypt?
You'll be safe and fine , dont worry.

about the cloth : just nothing flashy , nothing tight and nothing short, you dont have to get fully covered or wear hijabs.

I highly recommend Visiting COPTIC CAIRO and the monasteries we have

You can half pack your cloth , and buy cloth from here

Get any medicine any family member needs with you.

Anything you need feel free to ask.

ENJOY AND HAVE FUN!
bring cotton clothes .

dont worry about boys and blonde hair , it is common here .

drink bottled water only .

bring sunblock to protect your body from the sun

bring your swim suits to wear them during the nile cruise .

enjoy every minute .
this mini Egypt travel guide can help http://egyptinoneminute.blogspot.com/
Just wear any thing that's not too tight, and not beyond ur elbows/knees. Good luck!
Clothes : Not TOO tight... try to cover till the knees no problem with upper clothes just make sure it covers your stomach... Egyptians are accustomed to see Foreigners with blonde hair and blue eyes with shorts and tight clothes but just to be safe ! :D

The places where you have to take your shoes are Mosques they are Muslim's prayer places :D and you won't find people who are praying in the street so no problem with passing in front of people thingy :D

and they don't get angry anyway. Mecca is a building where are muslims direct their prayers - he isn't a person xD- and we only believe in one God called Allah he created everything - We ain't terrorists FYI xD lmao -

Grabbing your hair ? xD where are we in 500 BC lol such thing won't happen lol.

Well one more thing Egyptians would actually try to give you a high price for the stuff - True - mostly in souvenirs and in Taxis, to avoid taxi problems only stop White or Yellow ones don't ever stop the black ones :D they don't have a custom fare even Egyptians have hard time dealing with them :D, Don't forget to take some sea-sick pills with you just to make sure everything is OK :D

Hope you a happy journey in Egypt, tell your grandpa not be afraid Egyptians are very kind people :D i think you are going to have a great time :D Don't forget to visit Pyramids, Sphinx, Museums, Citadels, ';El-Borg'; the Tower, One more thing : Original Egyptian food like ';Mahshy'; ';Mloukhia'; ';Bat aka Ducks'; ain't available in restaurants. You will have hard time finding those :D. ';Koshary'; is the no.1 Egyptian meal :D.

BTW most Egyptians know English language :D

Off topic :

We won't do everything you want from us if you say in allah name xD we ain't robots people lol... :D

Some Egyptian NORMAL jobs get paid up to 6000 GBP :D just FYI :D

Well Hope you and Duffy a nice trip :D I am sure you gonna like it :D just don't forget to tell us how it was !! :D, and don't be afraid to ask more questions :D
Hey :) it is quite funny reading the above answers ,, there are some nice

NO ONE will grab your Blondy hair :) my Son and daughter got Blondy hair and they are fine

Just get cotton cloth and light colors as it is too hot

Drink enough water at the day time between 2 - 3 litters a day

use sun cream ( 50+ or 100% )

no spicy food at the midday

no freezing drinks under the sun

While going to sleep set the air-condition on 27+ as if you will leave it on +16 you will be up by 5 am because the room will be freezing cold and you will get sick

Cairo is very busy but i can assure you it will be Fantastic interesting holiday for you , Seeing some thing different is quite nice from time to other

Also check the website in the sources so you can have a better idea about what you can do or see while visiting Cairo , Luxor , Aswan
Everyone told you not to drink the water, right? Okay that's correct. Here's the other part of that.

Do NOT brush your teeth with their water either. Do not let ONE DROP of Egyptian water get inside your mouth.

I'm not kidding. I thought I'd save money, instead of rinsing my mouth with bottled water, I'd use tap water.

I got diarrhea so severe it wasn't completely out of my system for over 3 and a half weeks. I LITERALLY crapped my PANTS while walking through the airport in Athens, after I flew back. There were no bathrooms visible. I found an area under some STAIRS and while no one was looking, removed my soiled underwear. I was an adult and was thus somewhat able to rise above that. But you at your age? It would be a million times more embarrassing.

Do NOT let Egyptian water get anywhere within ten FEET of your mouth. (you can wash your hands but if you take a shower, be goddamn careful that none of that water gets in your mouth. Not ONE DROP!!)
Hi im 11, Im going to Egypt aswell. Im going to cairo and goin 2 visit the sphinx. Well yes, do cover up and no tight clothes. Sometimes in muslim parts of egypt be aware that you have to cover your hair and sometimes, take your shoes of as a sign of respect. I again have blue eyes and blonde, hair, they really like our light complexion and our blonde hair. I have not yet been, but my dad has an egyptian friend, in cairo, english will sorta get you by. Grabbing your hair? Oh and some strange men come up and ask would you want to sell you to them. Please dont take it, its not a joke. They take it very serious out there. One more thing, you need anti malaria tablets and hepatitas A injections, I think if you had not had them, dont worry, but other wise, well it may have less effect on your body if you get the short and sharp jab. One more thing. Do NOT get in front of someone when they are praying. They may be praying to someone called Mecca. They are known to get angry. So walk behind them.

The egyptian expect people to barter with them, expecially english and sometimes american. The exchange rate is like 拢1 to 9-11 egyptian pounds, they see that as a great oppurtunity to rip you off. You dont need alot, the really really really well paid job is about 4,000 GBP a year, so spending money not that big of an issue.

On the way to Cairo look out because the way the planes fly they go over the pyramids. So you might want to look out for them. Im sorry if i rambled on, but I really wanted to share my knowledge with you.

Oh and one favour, please tell how your holiday went and how the flight was.

Thx

Gemma

EDIT: Im flying to Egypt in a December so thats why I am interested about how it went and things like that. Im sorry if I came across rude when I said that and also I apologize if I keep saying ';one more thing';. I like to ramble on. Also as some people have said, the egyptian water can mess with your system apparantely. This may sound gross but its important, take anti diarrhea tablet. Mosquitos are killers, I dont know if they have them out there so you may have to check, but take some mosquito spray, this is very important, they are killers.

What made me laugh in egypt was that they have respect and dont show really any skin there, you may come back suprised at how revealling people over here can be. lol

Anyway

Kind Regards

Gemma
