Tips and advice for singing/acting?

My high school is putting on Beauty and the Beast this year as the musical.

Since this is my senior year, I would like to be casted as Belle however any other female lead/role would be great as well. I kind of look like her so that's an advantage.

However, there are quite a handful of girls who have a great voice and are good actresses; all other girls have just as good of a chance as I do.

What can I do, besides practice singing, to better my chances of getting a good role?

no rude comments, they aren't needed.

please and thank you. :)Tips and advice for singing/acting?
It's all in the confidence. If you are confident, your qualities will show and the director of the play will see that in you. They will see you won't have problem being in front of people, delivering your lines without hesitation. With confidence, you will be able to have at least a decent audition, if not a great audition. If you are confident, then your voice won't be shaky, neither will your monologue. Nor will you forget your lines. To get confident, you have to know what you are doing THOROUGHLY so you don't even have to think. You'll be doing it without much - if any - hesitation! But remember, as long as you tried your best and had fun, that's all that matters! Since it is a musical, singing isn't the only thing that will get you in. Your acting is essential too, because it is musical theatre. Make sure you know your monologue thoroughly and have practiced it until you know it so well, you won't have to think of your lines (or at least not look like it). As for your audition songS, make sure you prepare at least two to sing, so you can show how determined and prepared you are. You can say, ';I have prepared two pieces...';. If you are to sing songs, I suggest two that contrast to show your range, power, and abilities/flexibility. Something like a ballade and pop, ballade and rock, or something like that. For the monologue, it would be good if you had it memorized and thoroughly practiced/known. However, two might be even better! It's all in the effort too. Good luck!Tips and advice for singing/acting?
Stage presence is more important than raw talent.

Your audition should be technically competent. That is, you need to sing on key. However, the lead role will go to the girl with most dazzling star quality, charm %26amp; charisma.

Go out there and exude spirit, confidence, passion, and love of stage.

Electrify the audience!
try to think of ways to change up your song, like singing it different than the original artists. and dont be afraid to take risks! they will make you stand out more
