Photo one is alright, but maybe zoom in more.
Photo two is much better, but too crowded... there's ';too much going on'; I'd photoshop the sea shell that's behind the glasses. Then change the lighting a tad, but other than that I like it! CUte idea to have your rflection in the glasses! =]Photography tips and advice?
Photo #1: The photo is back-lit, something to be avoided unless you are looking for a black silhouette. It also makes is so that there are nearly no shadows in the photo. The branches are beautiful in the shot, but if it is the bug that you want to be the center of attention, then you need to give it a contrasting, neutral background, preferably out of focus.
Photo #2: ';My'; style of photography contains nothing of this ';theme'; of photography.... but I LOVE this picture, it has so much character!!!!! The background is overexposed, or just too white, whatever the case may be, and if the safety pin were a bit more out-of-focus it might have been a bit better, but other than that, it's GREAT!!!
Ooh, those are great pictures!
Just one thing, about photo #2, you may want to arrange the items a little differently, to me it looks a little awkward the way they are arranged.
Other than that, they look great, and good luck to you!
