This may seem alittle pathetic, but I haven't had my first kiss yet I'm a freshman in highschool. I've had a lot of boyfriends but I just never kissed them I guess I just broke it off before it got to serious. I finally found a great guy and he wants to kiss me but I'm so nervous I'll mess up. I've never kissed a guy before and I need some advice! Like do you tilt your head, how long should it last, and since he's about a foot taller than me will that complicate it? I'm so nervous I want it to be as perfect as possible and I don't want to mess this up! Please help :)HELP FIRST KISS TIPS? OR ADVICE?!?
ha ha i didnt have my first kiss till i was a sophmore :} well mine was awkward cuz it happened through a window but i think im a good kisser so here goes :) first, when ur ready, stand a couple inches away from him (as if you've just finished hugging), tilt your head to the right (later on you can start tilting it to the left if you want, but ALWAYS start with the right or else you're gonna have a really awkward moment :] ) then for the kiss, move your lips like you are saying the word MEOW in slow motion... well i hope that helps :]HELP FIRST KISS TIPS? OR ADVICE?!?
You should wait for him to make the first move. Like invite him over for a movie or something, when you guys are comfy he'll probably dive right in haha.. Just go with the flow. If his head is tilted one way just subtly tilt yours the opposite. Be gentle and sweet, you should tell him it's your first kiss- that would be cute. The first kiss will be a few seconds, then you should look in his eyes and kiss him again :) Good luck
=P dude, i wouldn't worry about not having a first kiss... i'm a junior and i still haven't had mine yet. i'm waiting to give it to my husband on my wedding day :)

Rate my drawings, tips and advice needed?
Hi im 14 years old and do art as a sort of hobby i guess.
I was just curious as to what others think and wondered if you could give me advice on how to improve.
I aspire to be a tattoo artist (although being a very hard buisness to get into) and just practice drawing everyday because i know i need ALOT of improvment.
So anyway
can you please tell me what you think, please look through ALL of the pictures (my best in my opinion are at the end), sorry about the quality of some of the photos as most of my drawings are kept in plastic sleeves so the light had bounced off.
anyway , here are the links, thanks in advance :D x

They are really good for your age. Don't worry about the post or quality, it's easy to get an idea. I would have liked to see a lot more shading in creative grayscale work in some of them since you can get great effects when you really try. Kat Von D portrait is awesome as well as Becky's, but faces may be your weak point -so practice hard with them. Tattoo artists are respected by most and will get increasing respect in years to come, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.Rate my drawings, tips and advice needed?
they are really great.
but the naked person was funny, LOL.
I think you shouldn't be a tattoo artist.
They are always stereotyped as trashy and junkies for drugs.
the Betty Paige is innapropriate and Immoral for a 14 year old to draw, take it off. YOU SUCK!

Travelling to Ireland - tips and advice?
I am a 22 year old Canadian female who is thinking of taking a little trip to Ireland for my ';march break'; in a few months, but I have a few questions:
- because of finances, I could only afford to go for about 4-5 days. I was thinking of staying in Dublin. Would there be a lot for me to see and do while there? (and I would be on my own.)
- are the people generally friendly and accepting of ';tourists/outsiders?'; (Meaning - if I strike up a conversation with someone, they'll be friendly in return?.....I'm only asking because the city I live in right now is fairly rude, and the people are stuck up. Definitely NOT a fan of my hometown lol)
- I wouldn't be driving - so is most of Dublin accessible by transit? Even better if there's a specific location with a lot of ';walk-to'; areas.
- What is the dress like there? Here in Canada we are very casual and relaxed for the most part - aka. Jeans and tee-shirts. But I've heard that across the way it is a tad dressier? Am I correct here?
Any other tips, advice, etc. would be really appreciated! Thanks :)Travelling to Ireland - tips and advice?

Have fun and injoy!!Travelling to Ireland - tips and advice?
Most of Dublin you can see by walking and public transport, so you definitely won't need a hired car.
Dubliners are pretty friendly, and Canadians are reasonably popular. But be careful - don't accept drinks from strangers. Can be dangerous.
Because you'll be a tourist, you can dress as you normally do, but do tart yourself if you're going out to dinner in a nice place. Bring layers and rainproof clothing.
Five days is plenty of time to see Dublin, and next time you can head outside of it for the real Ireland.
Ireland is a great country and Dublin is a great city. There is lots to do and the public transport is great. You can usually get anywhere you need using the bus or walking and if you wanted to take a trip to a different city, its very simple with the trains and buses. Many forms of transport as well as hostels offer student discounts as well. The people are friendly and I think that casual dress is fine unless you plan on visiting a nice restaurant or the theater. There is tons to do, lots of shopping, museums, cultural events, dining ect. and the surrounding areas are easily accessible.

Advanced Cheerleading tryouts?? Tips and advice?
I am on a level 3 team right now and really want to make the level 4 team. This is their requirements : Advanced to elite level cheerleaders. You don't have to tumble buts its highly recomended. .. Which I can't tumble. My jumps aren't the greatest and neither is my dancing ability. I am on my high school team which has made me a great base, but still haven't done much basing on my all-star team. Do you think its possible for me to make the advanced team, and can anyone help me and give tips to prepare for advanced team tryouts????Advanced Cheerleading tryouts?? Tips and advice?
I hate to say it, but get tumbling. Even if it's just a back hand spring, it helps a LOT. I was on a level 5 All Star team for a little bit about a year ago, and I barely made it without tumbling, and I ended up quitting because I couldn't keep up with the rest of the girls. Now I'm a level 6 cheerleader (for my college) and I have a roundoff back hand spring, but I don't have any standing tumbling and it's awful.
I think it's possible for you to make SOME level 4 All Star teams, but not all of them. Just bust your butt in tumbling, and stretch every morning and night and work on jumps! They can be an eye-catcher, too.Advanced Cheerleading tryouts?? Tips and advice?
the easier things you can do is work on your jumps, flexibility, strength, and dance ability. to work on these, stretch as much as possible. do straddles, half straddles, butterflies, oversplits, pikes, splits, bridges, and lunges. this will help your jumps a lot! also do ab exercises. this will help your tumbling, jumps, and stunting. Do push ups, pull ups, and handstands for even more upper body strength. work on your jumps everyday! for the dances, look up on youtube some hip hop dances and try to learn them. look up something like step by step hip hop dances. keep working on that and it will help a lot! for tumbling sign up for a private tumbling lesson. try to get your back handspring, round-off back handspring, back tuck, just any tumbling really. just keep working and you will get better! good luck!

Any good tanning tips or advice?
Ok it's spring break and I am not going anywhere, is there any tanning tips you know of?
When good tanning times are?
Products?
Positions?
I know that tanning is bad and all, so if you want to express your opinion then you can.
Also any tips on being blonder? Lemon juice??Any good tanning tips or advice?
good times to tan
%26gt; morning hours: 9 to 11 AM
and
%26gt; afternoon hours: 3 to 5 PM
bad times:
%26gt; 11 AM to 3 PM ...the sun is at its height in the sky and the rays are quite strong
%26gt; also: not sure where you live, but if you have evening sun, it gives quite a nice warmth to your skin to sit outdoors at that time, and you do not need to be so careful... makes for a peaceful night's rest, too
Plan to get a tan gradually: if you are not in the sun very much, start just a few minutes every day the first few days..... and be sure to get out of the sun at the first hint that you are feeling it a little too much
%26gt;%26gt; tanning is not bad......just *over* tanning is bad ..... in fact, it is good to get some sunshine.... it is the source of precious vitamins and solar rays that are energising and health-giving
%26gt;%26gt; don't try to get a too much of a tan all at once..... a tan will fade and you will need to keep it up by setting a little time aside to renew it from time to time... so save up for later ....
%26gt;%26gt; positions ?? I like to sit in a lawn chair with some iced tea...and then for the back, I like to lie down on a beach towel on top of a grass mat
%26gt;%26gt; if you are going to be outdoors at mid-day or for a longer period of time and wish to protect your face, you can use a sun block which really *does* block out the sun (especiallly good on your nose if you are out for very long), or you can wear a large straw sun hat
%26gt;%26gt; if you have been unfortunate enough to get sunburned, don't take a shower, but immediately get indoors and apply with a soft piece of cotton or cloth some plain vinegar straight from the bottle... pour it into a little bowl, and keep applying it gently to the area now and then for about 4 hours...... it will change your burn into a tan, and take out the sting at the same time.....if you still hurt later, re-apply as needed
Being Blonder
%26gt;%26gt; if you already have light - or at least medium - blonde hair, you can make some chamomile tea from dried chamomile blossoms .... a handful of dry blossoms in a quart of very hot water should do, let it cool, strain it through cheesecloth ....wash and rinse your hair, then after the last rinse, pour through the chamomile tea, wrap your hair in a turkish towel for about 45 minutes, then rinse the tea out with cool water....... you must keep repeating it now and then, it is very gentle, nothing like the chemicals available for going blonder ....
%26gt;%26gt; going out into the sunshine should give lovely highlights ... I have a friend whose hair turns quite blonde in the summer, even though his hair is sort of honey blonde in the winter .... but do it easily, in stages
%26gt;%26gt; I really wonder about the citric acid in lemon juice.... I have chestnut colored hair which I lightened with a vinegar rinse after I washed my hair, to bring out the red highlights ...until my hairdresser kept asking me if I used anything to lighten my hair ...he said the acid was very bad, so I stopped and was not sorry: it was making my hair a little dry
%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; be really gentle with your beauty and you will not be sorry

You should use Jergen's Gradual Tan Lotion. It works so well because your skin will look tanner in less than a week! And you don't even have to have sun exposure for it to work! The scent is more like a fragrance than it is a smell.
If you were to go tanning, use tanning oil with SPF XX so you are harmed less by UV rays, etc. Good luck!
i can give u simple home remedy.take curd and add a pinch of salt into in n apply on ur face it will prevent tanning, when u move out of ur home just rotate an ice cube on ur face and apply some good spf cream

I want to get a good tan, i'm a guy, can any ladies give me any advice or tips please, and no i'm not gay haha
best advice is to go to a tanning bed.I want to get a good tan, i'm a guy, can any ladies give me any advice or tips please, and no i'm not gay haha
I don't know how many guys actually want to do this, but there are lots of really good products out that have moisturizing lotion and a little bit of self tanner. They really do work and bring out tan without making you look fake, orange, or streaky. It's obviously the safest way too.
You can also try tanning beds, but they're not the best thing for you. Make sure if you are going to do this then you get a tanning lotion that has some spf in it. A lot of people like tanning beds because you can lay in it for 15 minutes and get the same tan as if you layed on the beach all day. At the tanning salon one of the workers should be able to help you figure out how long you should stay in for. If it's your first time or have light skin they'll start you off with less time, and the more you go, the more time you can add. Also, tanning beds shouldn't be used more than 2 or 3 times a week, depending on your skin tone, because it is harmful.
Other than that, spend some time outside or at the beach, but don't forget sunscreen, it's not good to let yourself burn. You could also try coppertone tanning oil with spf 15. It provides protection, but because it's an oil it will help you tan.I want to get a good tan, i'm a guy, can any ladies give me any advice or tips please, and no i'm not gay haha
ahuh put some baby oil in your skin or suntan lotion then have a sunbathe...it will give u a good tan if you tried this one
Go to the beach, but wear some spf otherwise you will burn and you cannot tan over a burn. If you don't have a beach near you, sit out at a pool or in the yard, where ever there is sun. If that isn't working, go get a spray tan, and since you have the illusion of going to the beach and tanning outside, then there won't be as many questions asked. You could also do some yardwork without your shirt. You get tan, and if you work for someone else, PAIDskin

Flirting tips? Anyone have any advice?
I recently went through a break up with my girlfirend and we have been together for 4 years and wondering if anyone could give me some flirting tips. I am a 21 years oldFlirting tips? Anyone have any advice?
hmm, well things NOT to do would be using pickup lines...that usually doesnt attract, well, anyone
and women dont really like it when its obvious a guy is trying to hit on them
a perfect thing to do is go up to a woman who you would like to talk to and give her a compliment and just walk away...basically your trying to be friendly and not too overpowering...she would rather have someone who is harder to reach, so walking away would make her come after you. Flirting tips? Anyone have any advice?
You probably should just chill out for a while instead of moving on since it was such a serious relationship. You could try flirting with your eyes and smile. Don't stare at them but once you make eye contact, smile friendly and look away. You could also compliment her on her personality or looks, but only if you mean it.
your 21 and you need flirtin tips
you need help
i do congradulate you on your long relationship. 4 years wow that a really long time. idk for me im a natural and i cant explain how i do it. i just do. im naturally charming.
good luck with your girl problems

I'm 15 yr. old and i need/want a job any advice or tips on how to get a job?
plz i need my own money!I'm 15 yr. old and i need/want a job any advice or tips on how to get a job?
really depends on the kind of job you're looking for, most places that hire teens are:
-fast food restaurants
-pools (become a lifeguard)

~good luck--from a 14 yr. oldI'm 15 yr. old and i need/want a job any advice or tips on how to get a job?
apply for one
I applaud your enthusiasm. My best job at 15 years old was as a ';pin monkey'; at a bowling alley. Basically I cleaned up and got the pins in line if the machinery screwed up. Think about shoveling driveways this winter, raking leaves this fall, mowing lawns? If you're a girl, try babysitting.
It depends on what you can do, or are willing to do. Can you be considered trustworthy by the adults around you? When I was 14, the summer between 9th %26amp; 10th grades, I started babystitting. I was too young to get a job at any business, so babysitting was the answer. I was lucky enough to have a little brother who was 7, so all of his friends parents started recruiting me to watch their kids during the summer, after school, and sometimes on the weekends when the parents had plans. I didn't pay much at first, but after awhile I was bringing home $200+ a week during the summer. Not bad for spending the day playing dolls, nintendo, coloring, and watching tv. It was great during the schoolyear because I took my homework with me and me %26amp; the kids did our homework together. By the time their moms/dads were home from work, my homework was done, I made money, and the rest of the night was mine. If you want to start babysitting, take a first aid class along with child/infant/adult CPR. This will prove to parents that you can be trusted with their kids. Usually you can take these courses pretty cheap at a local hospital or YMCA. If they offer a babysitting course, take that as well.
You could also do odd jobs around the neighborhood you live in, like raking leaves, mowing lawns, assisting elderly with tasks like cleaning out their garage/basement/attic. You could also find out if there any neighbors that are moving and see about helping them with packing for a few extra dollars. I know when I moved, I would have loved to pay somebody a little bit of money to help me pack the boxes. Sometimes somebody just needs an extra set of hands for a few hours to do something around their home. It may not be steady work, but it is something that can get you a little money until you are old enough to get a regular job. Most places do want you to be at least 16 to work, and there are laws about how many hours anyone under 18 can put in at a job during the schoolyear.
You might want to try McDonalds if there is one near you. I think they were hiring 14 %26amp; 15 year olds when I was a teenager. I really don't know any other establishments that hire under age 16. I think your best bet right now is to do odd jobs for anybody/everybody. Just be careful, make sure if you are going to be going into someone's home or their vehicle, that your parents have the opportunity to meet with them and establish that they are ok for you to be with. There are alot of crazy people out there, and you don't want to put yourself in a dangerous situation just to make a few dollars.
I need some money too. I need cash money paper. I'm about around your age. Wait until the summer for a job or mow the lawn for some people for money, chores, shovel the snow etc.
I need to do that, that's all I give pretty give it to you. Because most jobs won't accept a 15 year-old, I guess the high age they only go to is 16.
Your too youn.Well,I'm also a working student.Try the nearest Fastfood Restaurants in your town, they usually hire working students. You can also check your leading Newspaper for their classified ads or Listen to your local radio station that broadcast job.I would like to remind you that you can have more money when you finish college. And you must not ruin your studies.
apply in person and fill out the application there depending on where you live you will need working papers you can get them at you high school or your local library.
Go find a job then or start selling dope.
Ask around at different places in your area that have help wanted signs. I don't know if it's just a state thing or all over but in Virginia 15 year olds are only allowed to work for about the equivalent of a day while school is in and they can work up to a certain number of days a week during vacations like Winter break and summer. You could also babysit or see if you can get an allowance for different chores around your house.
so i dont make my own and I'm 14
really depends on the kind of job you're looking for, most places that hire teens are:
-fast food restaurants
-pools (become a lifeguard)
-summer recreation centers (watch little kids all summer)
-also check around in some stores at the mall

Also im thinking about getting a haircut, Any ideas?
Im 4'11 if that helps and 13 years.
I sometimes wear glasses as well when i cannot see the board.
Thanks :)Any asain hair tips? hair cut advice too?
get your hair layered and if you have bangs get side-swept bangs
dont go swimming alot in pools with lots of chlorine or the chlorine will turn your hair lighter and stiffAny asain hair tips? hair cut advice too?
Most Asian hair styles have layers. They are either cut with a razor or cut with what is called a point cut. You can get a product online or in some Asian grocery stores called Gatsby Moving Rubber. It is a styling product for Asian hair and different Asian hair styles. Sometimes styling wax and a straightener can give some other cool anime type hair effects. It really just depends on your style and what you are looking for.
I hope I helped out some.

I just go my braces off n got my retainer...any advice or tips?
You are so lucky! =) well I just had mine for like 3 months
Wear your retainers! I have seen people that didn't wear them and now they are paying the consequences. So wear them i know I will.I just go my braces off n got my retainer...any advice or tips?
dont forget to wear your retainer when your suppose to because other wise they will change againI just go my braces off n got my retainer...any advice or tips?
Yes.....WEAR IT! I don't mean just at night or only when studying either LOL Put that thing in, keep it in at all times (except when eating/brushing!) I spent 5 years in braces and when I got my retainer I thought ';Who needs more stuff in my mouth?'; and tossed it aside. Within a month the space in my front teeth was beginning to spread apart again. Awful! I ended up having to spend another month wearing a rubber band around those two teeth and then I got a permanent retainer put in (Best thing since sliced bread IMHO.) That was 9 years ago and my teeth still look great. I know it's hard to keep something in your mouth after your braces are gone but it is soooo worth it!
that's great! i recently got my braces off too. your teeth probably feel a little weird, and you're constantly feeling them with your tongue, it's totally normal. i would have to say to wear your retainer. you don't have to do it all the time, but mostly at night. don't skip a day at all if you don't have to. if you do, wear it more the next day. it's really important. i missed a few days, and now it really hurts to have it in. even if it does, don't just not wear it, it'll only get worse. and when you go to have your next appointment, they can totally tell if you haven't been wearing it like you should, i was guilty of that one. also, i know this sounds stupid, but don't forget to brush your teeth. just because it's easier without braces doesn't mean you don't have to. believe me, when my brother got his off he didn't brush he teeth very much and they looked horrible. good luck without braces. go try to eat corn on the cob or something like that. congratulations!!!!
Congratulations!! You will probably be brushing your teeth like crazy and you tongue will be going over your teeth like crazy as well. Now you can have carmel and gum and all the other foods that you couldn't with the braces. And you don't have to worry about food being stuck in your braces!! Enjoy your new straightened teeth!! :)

Advice, help, tips please ? ? ?
i always get really red faced over the slightest thing, like today a boy in my class was winking and blowing me kisses for a laugh and even though i knew for a fact that it was supposed to be a joke i still went all embarrassed and i do it sometimes even when i'm just talking normally to people.
i am not a very confident person either
how can i stop this ??Advice, help, tips please ? ? ?
Own it. You're a blusher. Laugh it off. Smile hold your face, shake your finger kiddingly at the one who made you blush and have a laugh. You'll eventually feel much less self conscious about it if you just accept it and move on.
People will think its cute.Advice, help, tips please ? ? ?
Hi, i'm the same with the red-faceness, i go red over the slightest thing even if i don't actually feel all that embarrassed. You have to gain confidence and then nothing can embarress you! Also i think that for me, when someone says something that embarresses me, if i have a clever comeback waiting it stops me getting embarressed.
best of luck x
Talk to your physician he can prescribe a med to reduce your redness that has no physical side-effects. Maybe you should talk to a trusted female adult / mom ( therapy ) about the lack of confidence

Any advice on giving a guy (me) tips about trying anal sex for the first time and what lubricant do I use?
Where can i find the lubricant and whats the name of it? Most likely ill buy the lubricant at CVS pharmacy, so what would be the best typical lubricant to use?Any advice on giving a guy (me) tips about trying anal sex for the first time and what lubricant do I use?
well i use Astroglide...it works really well....don't use spitAny advice on giving a guy (me) tips about trying anal sex for the first time and what lubricant do I use?
you need to go to a adult sex shop to buy the correct type of lube...
Please don't do it, it was not meant for sex but for excreting feces. Too many risks involved!
Bear grease is pretty good.
Its best u do not do this.....this is nasty and could cause health troubles later on like hemroids, or worser.
EXIT ONLY
probably spit
KY is the best and you can buy it at any pharmacy.
Advice- don't do it!
use his own spit ...
u need to by some KY jelly and take it slow because that mess hurts especially if it is the girl first time
First of all, you do realize the cautions you should take. The inside of that area is very thin and could open u up to alot of infections. Some that are deadly.....Aids.....Please give this alot of thought and make sure he wears a condom.

Hoping to start MMA, any advice or tips?
hi, im 6 foot, roughly 60kg, 16, and hoping to start MMA, BJJ or something similar soon, but dont know too much about it, and any advice about how to go about it, if i should go to the gym for a bit before to get bigger, or anything useful, would be appreciated
thanksHoping to start MMA, any advice or tips?
Don't worry about getting bigger - worry about getting BETTER. Join a school/dojo/gym and get to training. You'll learn things there that will help you advance and improve, including what your weaknesses and strengths are.
If anything, the martial arts (in general) require flexibility, strength, and conditioning. At home you can start by doing a few things to get you on the right path:
Start with a stretching regimen while you watch TV.
Hit the weights or do body weight exercises (pushups, lunges, squat-jumps, chin-ups, etc.)
Do some jogging, cycling, etc. to get your cardio base.
Watch some videos of various disciplines and see what really catches your attention. If you are enthusiastic about a new martial art, you will learn faster and better.
Read books, too - head to the library and internet and find some info about styles, disciplines, etc. that you are interested in.
But mainly - find a good gym with good instructors and go train!Hoping to start MMA, any advice or tips?
you need to work on your cardio. you can be as strong as you want but if you get winded during the workout it will all be for nothing. Be able to keep up with the class. this will include sprints on the treadmill, squat thrusts, skipping rope (girly but helpful), high jumps.
you can lift wieghts but you dont need to be huge. you will get plenty strong from the workout.
well you dont need to get bigger you need to run more often to get more stamina.you need to be faster and to learn wrestling its the most inportent thing and kick boxing.thats all u need in mma.ps every great fighter started in thier backyard.....lil joe
workout, get a good teacher, run,be in shape and ect...

Iguana's diet plan! Need tips and as much advice as I can get!?
Okay, I have a juvi iguana, and I'm working on improving his diet right now. I'm wondering if it would be okay to take some collard greens or arugula and mush all of it up with the rest of his food into almost a mush? And freeze it so I have alot of food and just thaw little bits at a time and give it to him.. I appreciate and tips on making feeding easier :) thanks for all your advice!Iguana's diet plan! Need tips and as much advice as I can get!?
First of all you don't want to freeze the food. Freezing it will destroy some of the vitamins. You'll just have to go to the store more often. Juvi igs need to be sure they have the proper calcium and phosphorus. For igs it is recommended to be 2:1 calcium : phosphorus ratio. What I do is buy some Collard greens, mustard greens, endive, turnip greens are the best as a base food. I cut them up into bite size pieces and put it in a plasitc grocery bag. 2 bunches of each lasts me about 4 days. Stay away from lettuce and spinach. The spinach can actually inhibit their calcium absorption. Top it with carrots, some but not too much broccoli, apples, strawberries.....mine love cantalope too. Be sure your ig has the proper lighting and heat as well. They must have the UV light in order to get their vitamin D which helps their bodies absorb and use the calcium.
Here is an excellent website chock full of information on igs and their proper care.
http://www.anapsid.org/iguana
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and on the left side, you'll see the menu you can choose information from. Melissa Kaplan has some great ';salad'; recipes for igs.Iguana's diet plan!

Need tips and as much advice as I can get!?

You can always go and get an ovulation kit that will tell you the two most fertile days of the month. Try the clear blue easy digital one. Also after you have sex lay on your back with a pillow under your butt, I have also hear of laying with your legs in the air and try to pedal like your riding a bike...that one sounds a little funny to me but hey, it might work. Start taking prenatal vitamins and also talk to your doctor if you haven't already. Stress is also something you must try to do without. It can really hamper with ttc! Good luck to you....Any good tips or advice please?
go to mycycle.com they have a calender when is the best time to try.

Need some tips and advice on Fishing Loch Earn, Scotland?
I'm heading to Loch Earn next week for 2 days (and 1 nights) fishing. I don't have a boat so will be camping for the duration. I have a couple of questions I would like help with:
1) What type of rod/reel should I use?
2) Where would be the best place to camp to maximise my chances of landing decent fish?
3) Worm or Maggot?
4) Bubble or bottom?
5) What time am I most likely to land? Dawn/Dusk etc?
Any other help or advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance! :D

Just go with a spinning rod and reel combo that you use then throw a nightcrawler on there and you will get hits

I need tips or advice to get over a guy..... Im just tired of getting hurt over and over.?
Ive had a crush on him for as long as I can remember... Probably since middle school... And in the tenth grade I finally told him... but he asked me why. and I just couldnt tell him.. Probably b/c I was too scared what his reactions were gonna be. But right after that i dont know what I was thinking and helped one of my friends to go out with him since he liked her too (Supposedly, my friends told me) Then months later they broke up. Afterwards, we both finally started talking to each other. and this my senior year, one of my friends who knew i liked him asked him out, and now they are going out..I just want to forget about him. And get over him any advice? (I actually wanted to tell him again since this is my senior year b/c I probably wont meet him ever again after we graduate.)I need tips or advice to get over a guy..... Im just tired of getting hurt over and over.?
But you told him you had a crush on him in middle school. He said why? That's not a very encouraging response. I think you can do better than this guy and just got into the habit of having a crush on him.
Give yourself a fresh start. You may just realize that there are alot of nice guys out there.

Learning Japanese? Tips and advice?
Hi. :) I'm a fifteen year old girl and am fascinated by Japan and it's culture. I want to have japanese lesson but where I live it's not a Very common language to learn so there are no courses (I live in England).
So I've decided to learn it myself. I've bought some work books on how to learn the katakana and hiragana symbols and that is going quite well, I think I've just about mastered Hiragana. :)
What else can i do to learn Japanese? I hosted a Japanese student with my school (they have a link with two Japanese high schools but we don't go there) and that was brilliant! The Japanese people are so nice!
Does anyone have any advice or help they can give me? Experience or from living in Japan?
Thank you very much. :)Learning Japanese? Tips and advice?
Dear Japanophile,
You cannot learn a Language by yourself, you need classes with real people to interact with and not some internet buddy who claims to be Japanese or a book or a website to guide you through, you need professional help (a teacher who has experience in teaching) maybe a Japanese friend to help you through, but don't expect your Japanese friend in school to teach you from the beginning, I do believe she/he has her/his own homework, activities to do too. So don't just depend on a friend to learn the ';whole'; language, that's what teachers are for.. so get a teacher!
And don't go thinking that living in Japan is the only way to learn Japanese, sure it will improve but taking a course in school in your own country will do just about the same, all you need is real motivation because it does get tougher as you level up, patience and motivation is the key to success.
I'm currently in my 2nd year in learning Japanese in school and I speak from experience, I've been to up and downs while taking the course but that's how it is.. you cannot expect it to be all easy, there will be times where you think ';I cannot take it anymore, this is too much'; but think about the end results and how the hardship will pay off in the end.
Oh get your search right, I'm sure theres a Japanese school/a class in a school in your area, you're just lazy to do a research or just don't want to spend a penny on it.
Even third countries like Brazil has it, so its really ignorant of you to say that Japanese is not a common language to learn in England and England is not even a third country, I'm sure you have foreign language as a part of your school program and I'm sure there's a Asian language as a choice maybe not Japanese but did you try to check out other schools? NO. I'm sure there's Japanese all over. So how could you say you love the culture if you don't know anything? Sushi? Anime? is that about it? You need to do a better research about Japan because you say that you're fascinated by Japan, but to me it seems like you don't know much.

the idea of the website is to enrich your japanese vocabularies and kanji by answering repeated questions
by answering repeated questions you will earn EXP to measure your level and ranking among others
it is quite fun and challenging! and also effective! :D
I know that there is a college in Central Manchester, MANCAT, where you can take evening courses for the equivalent of a GCSE level in Japanese, but obviously this depends on where you live. Search for evening courses at nearby colleges?

My recommendation right now is to start with the basics, there are many free websites on the internet that can help you. Start with the basics, learn some basic kanji, and as time goes by the time you get to college/university more formal lessons will be available. The best thing is you will have a head start.
One book I recommend you buy is ';JAPANESE FOR BUSY PEOPLE'; it is a good book and it will teach you basic Japanese vocab, and sentence structure. You can get the ROMAJI version, instead of the Japanese script version when learning the basics.
Also check out youtube.com for japanese lessons:

I don't agree with Curious that its impossible to learn without a class because I reached the same level Curious is without a class in about half the time as the average college class (in America). But it takes a LOT of work and making the best use of your time. Also I did not do any listening practice and I am still suffering 2 years later from it so make sure you start getting listening practice by the time your done with your first textbook.
Despite this, a class will definetly help a lot if you use it as a tool and don't rely on it to do the learning for you. If you only study what you learn in class, it will take you 4 times longer to become fluent in Japanese. You need to study from a textbook at your own pace (with or without a class), surround yourself with things that interest you and that are in Japanese (use these as motivation and extra learning, NOT a substitute). Song titles and choruses are a great and listening to music gets you used to the pronunciation (which is not the hard part of Japanese). Friends help too but don't treat time with them as studying. Make sure you always use a textbook, I can vouch for Genki 1 and 2. Don't buy anything that says 'Easy' 'simple' or 'in 10 minutes' or that costs more than $100...that should be what... 80 euros? And stay away from any book that uses romaji (english letters instead of kana and kanji). Make the most of the internet. You don't need a book to learn hiragana and katakana, there are plenty of resources on the web. I used www.learn-japanese.info for my first month of study and it really made jumping into a textbook much easier.
Japanese is something like the number 6 or 7 foreign language to learn among English speakers so try looking a little harder. Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.
I totally understand your situation because I had the exact same problem when I was fourteen and wanted to learn Japanese (I'm also from England!!!)
I taught myself the Japanese GCSE and A Level in the end so I know it is possible to teach yourself and get somewhere!
First up, this was a really helpful website: http://thejapanesepage.com/
I couldn't live without it! It has everything from kanji to vocabulary and grammar.
But after you've mastered hiragana and katakana, you might want to start learning the language. The language course I'd recommend is 'Teach Yourself Beginner's Japanese' by Helen Gilhooly. This is an amazing book! It was reason I got an A* in GCSE Japanese so I can't sing it's praises enough!
Other things that are helpful are Japanese penpals. I met someone doing a homestay in England and when after she went back to Japan, we used to write letters to each other in Japanese. It was a really helpful exercise because I could practise writing Japanese and also, I could see how a native Japanese person structured the sentence.
Also, listen to lots of Japanese songs or watch lots of Japanese programmes - as many as possible. They are really good for picking up new vocuabulary and Japanese ways of speaking that aren't in textbooks. They also help you improve your accent. I've also found that when you listen to a foreign language a lot, it helps you remember what you're studying in the textbook a lot easier. You can find dramas etc on sites like Crunchyroll or Mysoju. I'm about to graduate from my degree in Japanese and I still find dramas helpful for picking up new words!
And lastly, enjoy learning and always remember what motivated you to learn Japanese! If anything got difficult, I wouldn't want to give up because learning Japanese was my hobby and I really wanted to go and live in Japan! So keeping your goal in mind is very important!
Good luck! (^_^)

Cloth diapering tips and advice?
Okay, tomorrow I will be starting to cloth diaper full time. I have an array of different diapers I will be using to see what I like and what works for us. I have some Bum genius AIO's, some Fuzzi Bunz Pocket diapers, several different types of inserts I decided to try out, and then thirsties covers with Indian Prefolds.
(Did wash all the diapers and inserts, and am in the process of drying the prefolds for the third wash and dry.)
Any tips on care of any of these diapers. I know I can't bleach, use dryer sheets, fabric sheets, nor regular detergent.
What do you wash your cloth diapers in?
How often do you need to strip them, what do you do to strip them?
And about wipes, I am just using old baby washcloth's and keeping them in the wipes warmer. What do you wet your wipes with? Just water, or any recipes for wipe solution would anyone like to share?
Any advice or tips you learned along the way would be great. I am pretty new to all this, so I am grateful for anyone's experiences!Cloth diapering tips and advice?
As far as washing here is what I do:
Washing Step-By-Step
1. Dump everything into the washing machine. Just turn the pail liner inside out, so you don鈥檛 have to touch anything. Then throw the liner in with the load.
2. Run a short COLD rinse cycle on the highest water setting. Mine doesn鈥檛 have a setting for this, so I just put it on the middle of a regular cycle. Don鈥檛 put any detergent in! This rinse cycle is to get the yuckies rinsed out of your dipes. You can add a 陆 cup or so of baking soda if you want, but if you put any in your pail liner than you can skip adding it here. When you open the lid, the poop will have magically disappeared!
3. Run a long HOT cycle on your highest water setting. Add in just a tiny amount about 1/2 or 1/4 of the usual amount (I use 2 TABLESPOONS) of Arm %26amp; Hammer Free (for sensitive skin). Yes, that鈥檚 enough soap. I promise. There are other soaps that you can try, but make sure you do your research first.
4. You can also run them through another long HOT cycle (or two) after wards, to make sure all the soap is rinsed out. I tend to do this every couple of washes for maintenance purposes.
5. Put everything (liners, diapers, inserts) into the dryer and dry on HOT or WARM until dry.
And the other questions- stripping. As long as you have your wash routine down, and aren't using too much soap you shouldn't have to ever strip. If you notice your diapers smelling weird or repelling, then you need to strip. Which just means that you will rinse them alot (like 8-10 times to get any soap buildup out of your diapers)
Your cloth wipe routine sounds good- I use a foaming wipe solution like pumpkin booty just because it's easier for us. You just spray a little on their bottom and wipe with a dry cloth. And then we keep a little bottle in the diaper bag to use cloth wipes when we are out and about as well.
Hope that helps! I run a cloth diaper website, so if you have any more questions just ask.Cloth diapering tips and advice?
Good luck, I bet you'll love it.
We use Fuzzi Bunz, and we wash them with either Charlie's Soap or Allen's Naturally. Fuzzi Bunz recommends stripping as a routine, but they don't say how often to do it. I've done it several times. They have directions on their website, but it's basically a round of intense washings and rinsings. www.fuzzibunz.com
I don't generally use cloth wipes, so I can't help you there.
I'll leave the washing chemical to those who live in your country- mine is only available in Australia.
You strip them when they start to stink- follow the manufacturers instructions, the nappies come with stripping instructions.
Cloth wipes, popular solutions are water with a couple of drops baby shampoo, water with a couple of drops sorbolene, and pure chamomile tea.
When used in a cold solution chamomile tea is great for nappy rash!
you must make up the solutions daily though, they go stale and start to stink fairly quick.
Being overseas from you, I call them nappies, so for the sake of ease, i'll do that for this message.
For wipes, I use water and tea tree oil (just a drop). I have never needed to use anything else, although I have heard that cold chamomile tea is the best.
As for tips - line your bucket with tea tree oil, it will keep the smell in. You don't actually have to soak the nappies, you can use a dry pail, but some prefer to anyway. If you haven't already, purchase one or 2 waterproof drawstring liners for when you're out and about. I won't say which products I use as it won't help you - it's all ones I know you don't get. If you dry your nappies in the sun, it helps prevent staining. There are loads of other uses for prefolds - they're great for nappy off time to make sure your carpet doesn't get it! They make brilliant household rags when you're done with them (my husband swears by them in the garage - I think he cleans his motorbike with them, i'm not all that sure...) And they also make good spit cloths. If you're breastfeeding and still leaking through the night, cut up a prefold into squares and use them as breast pads - these were the ONLY way I could guarantee a dry nightie in the morning, I leaked through all my proper breast pads every night. I'll probably think of more at some point...

Whew that's a lot of questions. As far as tips or advice, look over the shore excursions before you go. As soon as you get on board people start booking them and they are first come first serve. Don't do any shore excursions like Jeep ride or Beach excursion--they are islands. You can find a beach on your own.
Each night you get a newspaper that tells you a whole bunch of stuff to do the next day. Look over it and see what is of interest. Same with the kids club. What age group are you in? For the younger kids, they have a ton of different activities. As you get older (like 15-17), they expect you to only join them for a few of them. Some are rather cool--they have movies, take over the surf area at a certain time, have certain night club evenings when it is closed for all but the teen club, etc. But either way, you can look over the newsletter for the teen program and the regular one to see what catches your eye. You'll probably want to do a little of your own thing and a little of the teen plan.
Things to pack: Really that's up to you. Pack several swimsuits, i-pod, books if you read. Most things you don't really need. There is so much to do on a cruise ship. I found a lot of stuff I packed that I didn't need. Like many of the cabins have shampoo and body wash dispensers. I'd carry hand sanitizer. That's a good idea. If there are any snacks you are very particular. But really there is tons of food and it's out all the time so you won't go hungry. I'd bring my own snorkel gear. That helps a lot. On an island, you can just walk off the beach and snorkel for a bit without having to sign up for a shore excursion. Carry some kind of baby bookbag/tote bag. If you are wearing a swim suit, you can carry a tshirt and anything you buy.
Buy some underwater disposable cameras. They are ridiculously overpriced on the ship. The one thing I learned the first time was that you are carrying your room key/onboard credit card with you all the time. A lanyard around your neck with the lil plastic holder was an awesome thing. They sell them on the ship though and they aren't terrible expensive. Of course a lot of guys bathing suits have pockets so I guess that matters a lot more if you are female.
I've always loved the shore excursions I took. I've always had some I wish I'd done of course when you get back and other people at your table are talking about what they did. Next cruise I'd like to do cave tubing. But you definitely don't need to take a shore excursion at every port of call.
The best thing that you can't miss doing depends on what islands you are going to. Are you a history buff? Are you a foodie? I love the midnight buffet but I end up every time just eating most of my breakfasts and lunches at the Lido deck by the pool. It's soooo good. And then at the end of the time I'm always like This ship had 17 places to eat and I only ate at 2 of them. The food is GREAT. Each meal in the dining room is about 5 courses: a salad, a cold appetizer, a hot appetizer, entree, and dessert. I never had a meal I didn't like but if you do, they will be glad to get you a different choice.
The service is rather good too. My room steward brings the towels frequently so you don't need to bring your own even for the pool. The wait staff is usually amazing. Creative and entertaining. A cruise is filled with fun family things. It really depends on your family. The shore excursions are rated based on their activity level so your family can hike ancient ruins or swim with dolphins. Or if not so active, you can take a bus tour around the island or tour a rum plantation.
What islands are you going to? Check on Cruisecritic.com to read reviews from people who just got off the cruise you are going on.
There is so much to do and they basically provide everything you need. Between laying out by the pool, surfing, going to different games being played, eating dinner, going to the after dinner show, and hitting the night club--you really don't have time to think about what you wish you had brought. There is nothing you really need.online cosmetic
do you have any advice or tips?
i will be in the teen program, but is it really fun or will i want to go do my own thing?
what are some things that i should pack (like hand sanitizer or camera) i pretty much know what clothes to wear.
what are some things you wish you brought but didnt?
what didnt you do that you wish you had?
what was the best thing you did that you cant miss doing? how was the food?
how was the service?

Job Hunting tips and advice?
Recently my circimstances in life have changed drastically and have forced me to move out of my parent's house and find a job and somewhere to live. I am a high school graduate who, until recently, went to a local college to get a Bachelor's in Accounting. I do not have a degree yet because I can't get funding to resume my collegiate studies (I have already been to the financial aide office and although I can raise some of the tuition money, I can't raise it all without a cosigner for a student loan). My family is not helping nor speaking to me due to circumstances beyond my control. I need to find a job that can support me for the means to live on my own. Restaurants do not pay enough for rent, etc. I am 20, articulate, attractive, and professional and have strong aptitudes in Mathematics and Science. Any suggestions of a job I can obtain to make ends meet until I get my life back in focus? I need your advice.Job Hunting tips and advice?
Well, first I will tell you that I wish you luck finding that first job. It took me 7 months after college to find mine. I can tell you some things based on my own experiences
1) STAY AWAY from employment agencies - they are also known as 'staffing agencies' or 'recruitment agencies' or whatever. When you go in there, they have you fill out an application and then they interview you, and they try to help you find a job, but they are usually temporary jobs or 'contract to hire', but they are usually very low paying jobs with little or no benefits. Usually companies that recruit through agencies have interviewed dozens or maybe even hundreds of other 'applicants'/'candidates' or whatever other words they like to use now, and they couldn't find anyone. And they get your hopes up and you never hear from them again. Some of them are okay, but most of the ones I dealt with are terrible and I would never use them again. You are better off looking online or in the want ads.
2) If you get an interview, find out as much as you can about the company. That shows that you are interested.
3) Dress appropriately
4) make sure your resume is good
that should help you to get startedJob Hunting tips and advice?
I do love what I do, but I fell into it. I am an IT person in business. I thought I was getting into video game design!!!
I often advise people to write down three things they love to do, not work at. It can be music, sports, writing, movies, children, or the elderly.
Then, spend a little time finding out what careers there are in that field. For example, if love music, but can't sing, you can become a manager of a music venue.
Don't worry about money either. Money will come with the passion you put into your career.
And remember, if you do something you love, you will never work a day in your life!!

Asking out tips or advice?
Its sort of a long story but the short version is there is a girl who i am falling for and have been for awhile now. Although i have known her for a few months now I have been hesitating for a few reasons that are no longer in my way. I am sort of worried that if i put it off much longer i could fall into the friend category, so i have decided that i will make a move in a couple of days even though i go on break for a week (i just cant afford to wait much more). I already know when and where to talk to her and somewhat of an idea on what i want to say.
I was wondering if there is any (non stupid) advice on asking someone out. In general i was just going to ask her if she wanted to go out after we get back from break, and i would give her my number so we could talk over break. Thanks for any help.Asking out tips or advice?
I would like that if I were your girl. Give her your phone number as well as email address. That way if she feels uncomfortable talking on the phone (which I do sometimes) she can email you instead.
Maybe say something like... ';You're fun to hang out with. Do you want to go out with me sometime?'; Or whatever your situation is...
Good luck! I'm in the exact same situation with a man now! Let me know how it turns out!Asking out tips or advice?
Be straight-forward about it. Girls love confidence...so if you were to just be like... ';Look, I like you. I have liked you for a really long time. Here's my number'; and walk away, she wouldn't be able to quit thinking about you. We are interesting creatures, us girls. Hope it works out well.

I am 14 years old and want to lose weight, can anyone please give me some advice and tips? thanks :)?
Three huge things for keeping a healthy weight:
1. If it comes in plastic, you shouldn't be eating or drinking it (milk and juice are fine, in moderation) Eat fresh fruits and veggies instead, and drink water instead of soda (avoid diet soda too)
2. Go outside and get at least 30 minutes of exercise. Twice a day is even better. Your local Parks %26amp; Recreation department will have summer activities lined up - ask your parents if you can participate in summer camp or athletics. You'll meet new people and have a great time. And it's almost summer.... get outside and have some fun!
3. Whatever you do, do not starve yourself. Your body will go into ';starvation mode'; and your metabolism will slow down.I am 14 years old and want to lose weight, can anyone please give me some advice and tips? thanks :)?
go running or get involved with some sports if your athletic.

Photography Portfolio - tips and advice?
I'm 15 years old and have always been interested in photography. My parents told me I should have a more stable career as photography is a very hard subject to get into. So I have decided that photography is going to be something that I do as a sideline. I'm hoping to own my own business one day, most probably a photography one, which I'll more than likely end up co-owning with my friend Charlotte who wants to be a full time photographer.
So more to the point, I booked a connextions interview and had a chat with one of the people who work there. They suggested making a photography portfolio that I can present when looking for jobs in the photography business. The problem is that I have no idea what this is supposed to look like and be presented like. Is it meant to be very very proffesional/formal, or can it be more layed back? What book sort of thing should I buy for it and where?
Also any tips on just general photography, like any tricks and advice that has really helped you out when you have been taking photographs?
Thanks so much.Photography Portfolio - tips and advice?
When in doubt, go conservative. All my portfolios are in basic black portfolios that hold 8x10's. No more than 20-25 of your best shots should in a portfolio. These can be purchased at any camera shop, I paid, I think, around $10.00 for each one. Only show your strongest work and don't put the best in first, nor do you want to save the best for last either.
Photo Tips:
1. know what your subject is ( I see sooo many photos and i am not quite sure what they photos of- besides the empty corn field!)
2. Simplify the scene- no distractions from the subj
3. Draw attention to the subj in some wayPhotography Portfolio - tips and advice?

You have to be different. You have to set yourself apart. You have to be able to sell yourself. If you are shooting the exact same thing everyone else is, then you are going to have to be better than all of them. If you are shooting something unique then you stand a better chance of getting noticed. Stay away from the cliche' shots. Confidence is key. For the portfolio you will need to get a nice book, as nice as you can afford. Check out www.adorama.com. I prefer black, but that is just me. As far as advice. READ READ READ... read everything you can on photography. Learn about the quality of light, composition, know how to use your camera upside down and backwards. Know aperture, what it is, how it works.. make it work for you. Most importantly, don't listen to what everyone else says.. stay true to yourself, you will find your path. And hey, if you like it, it's a good shot. Good Luck To You!
More and more people are using CD's and DVD's as marketing tools but nothing beats the visual impact of a great photo portfolio for a photographer trying to make a mark.
I would suggest that you create some themes (successful photographs follow... know what?... read my article on photography instead of having me describe this here: http://www.jpgmag.com/people/galan/stori鈥?/a> This article will at least give you guidelines to successful images.
As for your portfolio... show diversity, creativity, artistic vision. Show your potential employer that you know how to capture personality, detail and to grab their attention with color and composition.
Have a well-rounded portfolio and, if a photo in it doesn't grab you EVERY time you look at it... get it out of that portfolio and replace it with one that does.

Any Breastfeeding tips/ tricks/ advice?
My daughter was born 5 days ago. In the hospital she would latch on just fine but got frustrated because she would get very little colostrum for her efforts. So we fed her by bottle after trying to feed after 20 minutes of trying each time. Now my milk has come in but it seems like she doesn't want to or can't latch on. I can pump and feed her that way so its not the milk.. Is it that she's too used to the bottle now and won't go back or is there anything I can do to help her feed 'naturally'?Any Breastfeeding tips/ tricks/ advice?
God ther seems to be some serious A%^'s on today...
u can just keep trying to encourage her, squeeze the nipple a bit so that the milk comes out and then rub on her lips when shes hungry and keep trying that until she gets used too it, babys arent really into trying new things and because shes used to the bottle you have too help her, but by all means do keep pumping too because it helps ur womb contract quicker!
just have patience with her she will come around even rub the bottom of her chin with one finger to encourage her to open her mouth then try to squeeze a bit of milk in once she realises what u are giving her she will take it for u... :) good luck and dont forget to get some good Nipple cream, breast feeding can hurt! Lansinoh Cream is brilliant!! :)Any Breastfeeding tips/ tricks/ advice?
If your breasts are really engorged/full then you might want to try expressing a small amount of milk until you can feel your breast soften up. If you are very full it is hard for the baby to latch on.
If that doesn't work then your baby probably has some nipple confusion issues. I don't have any experience with that but I would bet sites like kellymom and llli do so I would look at those. Babies are pretty stubborn but she is only 5 days old so I am betting that if you are persistent you can get her off the bottle.
dont give up - breastfeeding isnt just as simple as ppl would like u to believe - it easy to fill a bottle and shove it in - u need patience and so does ur baby shes learning with you -- just persist put her to the breast when shes hungry no baby will go hungrywhen they are hungruy ( i know what i mean )
shes not too used to the bottle it just comes faster and she doesnt have to work so hard for it - keep trying if that what u want o do - its relly easier once its established look for a nursing motheres association in ur area they can give u support and help or a lactation speecialist u ma need to do a bit of internet research to find one inyour area
In her experience with the bottle she may have realized that the bottle is less work on her part, so she may be reluctant to breastfeed. The way to solve the problem is to stop offering the bottle and offer the breast more. Offer the breast for comfort sucking, not just nutritive sucking and she'll get the hang of it again. Good luck!
keep trying she is still very young so have time to get her on breast .before you try to latch her on squeeze a bit of milk out of breast so she can smell the milk.you both need to be relax.you could also ask healh visitor for advise.good luck
Just eat your baby and be done with it, then you don't have to feed your baby whatsoevar
well bottling feeding is the easier way for baby, she doesn't have to try hard at all to get milk so she will prefer it naturally
what you have to do is absolute not give her a bottle at all if you really want to get breastfeeding established or you'll create nipple confusion. Give it at least a few days to a week to see a definate turnaround.
Just offer the breast when she is hungry and ditch the bottles till she is at least 6-8 weeks old and has got breastfeeding down pat.
If she has no other choice she will drink when she is hungry. At 5 days old you still have ample time to get her to latch correctly.
When putting her on here are a few tips I've always used:
- position her belly against your belly and use pillows under her, under your elbow and behind your back to achieve the right position and posture
- always bring baby to the breast and not breast to the baby
- cup your breasts with one hand and with your spare hand put your thumb and forefinger spread behind her ears/around base of neck to have proper control of her head
- wait for her to open her mouth wide and then push her onto the breast quickly, it may seem rough but it works
- make sure her lips are curled outwards around the aereola not tucked in sucking on just the nipple itself
- try the football hold if the conventional lap hold isn't working
- squeeze out a little milk onto her mouth to get her a taste so she realises that is what she wants and gives the breast a go
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkfR9xlQF鈥?/a>
this is quite a good video to watch
good luck and give it a go. It will work if you perservere and don't give up and give a bottle. Now that your milk is in it is the best time to get her onto the breast but it will only work if you stop bottle feeding for the time being

Now that your milk is in it is the best time to get her onto the breast but it will only work if you stop bottle feeding for the time being
Travelling Australia, tips, info, advice etc...?
I am going to Australia in April 2010 for 6 鈥?7 months. Starting off in Cairns then moving down to Sydney. I will be pack packing with my girl friend staying in hostels and camping etc. We will be doing all the signs and exploring etc and I just wanted to know any tips on this and also we will have about 拢5000 each I am assuming this will be enough. I really want to be prepared so any info would be most appreciated. As I can only save about 拢2000 I will be taking a small loan for the rest, not sure y I added that just thought I would add everything.Travelling Australia, tips, info, advice etc...?
Okay, so im not sure but im guessing your from Britain? Well, then 5000 pounds will equal exactly 9,594.58 aussie dollars. that should be heaps, but i would fully plan it out. Such as, what sites will you be going to see? How much do you expect to spend there? Stuff like that. Staying in Hostels and camping should be pretty cheap in most places, but you'll have to watch out. But if you plan the trip right, calling ahead and everything, you should be fine! I hope you enjoy your trip to Australia, we cant wait to have you! :)
ps. Just by the way, there are no such things as drop bears!Travelling Australia, tips, info, advice etc...?
beaches are free, so if you feel like your going through your money quickly, spend your days simply lapping up the sun (reading books etc). buy a van, chuck a mattress in the back and take your time cruising down to sydney. 6-7 months is a lot of time to get from cairns to sydney, so pace yourselves. byron bay is still possibly the most inviting town along the east coast despite its development.
Watch out for those drop bears. They're bears which sit in trees and drop on to you in the bush from above and they go straight for the throat. Vicious little bastards they are. But there is a remedy to stop them dropping on to you; smear vegemite all over your face before you go into the bush. The vegemite keeps them away. They hate the stuff.
If you live economically that should be heaps...just remember , no hitchiking !
Youth Hostels are definitely the go....leave the souveniers until just before you are due to leave...you won't want to be carrying any more extra stuff %26amp; if you leave it till the last few weeks you'll know exactly what you can spend!
You'll find that the best souveniers are your pics...take heaps !
How much you'll spend is soo personal. Some people like to go out a lot, others are happy to cook in the kitchens at the hostels, it's impossible to say. Activities also cost money, adventure sports and tours are quite expensive so it depends on how many of them you want to do too. I would count at AU$100 a day - activities, accommodation, transport and everything included. That's in average, some days you may spend less, other days you may like to take a trip somewhere and end up spending more.
Personally i think that 6-7 months for a Cairns - Sydney trip is quite a long time. I would cover more places in that time, like include Melbourne and maybe even Ayers Rock. On a trip, i couldn't spend much longer than a few weeks in and around Cairns, maybe a week in Townsville, particularly Magnetic Island, a few weeks in Whitsundays, a week on Fraser Island, a week in Brisbane, a week in Byron Bay and a few weeks in and around Sydney. There are many nice spots to stay in between those places, but in most of them there is not that much to do, except maybe spend some time on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast (you could spend a week in each if you also went to discover the hinterland), but other than that, much of that coast, particularly around Mackay, Rockhampton and those places, is pretty much just a drive through the forest. Unless you really want to discover every town and beach in great detail, or like to spend many days on a beach doing not much, i would recommend you to include more into that trip, like some outback, Ayers Rock and also Melbourne, and make the most of the time. (Many people make a trip around the whole Australia in 6-7 months).
you first need more money man girls love souvenirs to death they think a child from a different country counts too. beware of adoption centers maybe 6,ooo each is good. when i went i realised that i need sunscreen and im half african it was hot. when having fun try to go exploring the waters the ladies love that also play so golf on the island its so cool when you see that ball fall into the water, take in the sites go see local tribe dances and do some crafts my best wishes for your triponline cosmetic

Hamster help, tips and advice please?
My boyfriend gave me a hamster a few months ago...I've named her Zero. She had a litter of five (5), and then a litter of nine(9) [inbreeds...it was an accident]. I've gotten rid of all of her kits, escept for one female [Juliet]. Juliet is only 2 months old. Zero used to be calm and friendly now she is more ';sleepy'; and less friendly...she runs on her wheel alot less too. =/ Juliet is a spazitron [%26gt;.%26lt;] she runs on the wheel runs from me when I try to pick her up...Zero used to climb up into my hand and I want that back from her..and I want it form juliet too. They live in a good size aquarium with fine pine shavings, a wheel, a barrel, a food dish that gets refilled twice a day, and water that is changed every two days. They are comfortable and clean. [I clean the cage every week and a half to two weeks] I want calm hamsters and I especailly need tips to train Juliet while she is still a baby. Any and all advice is appreiciated. (:
Also,
they have toy tunnels and running balls.Hamster help, tips and advice please?
Maybe all the stress of the litters just...stressed her. What age did she have her first litter? although they can be sexually mature in a month (28 days aka 4 weeks) they shouldn't become pregnant at that age.
here is a GREAT site for how to handle a hamster:

You can also visit their main page for other great hamster info thats very useful:

also , if your hamsters are syrians maybe she is just territroial, and feels threatened by your hand because she knows there is another hamster in their, too.
Also, next time you clean out their cage you should probably switch to aspen or other good shaving, anything but pine or cedar, or that fluffy wool stuff. heres a great site for info on hamster bedding:

Your hamster should also have a littleplace to hide in their cage. Like a little hamster mini house.
good luck!
(if your hamsters are dwarf hamsters, they LIKE company, if they are syrians, then they are usually more territorial.)Hamster help, tips and advice please?
as hamsters get older they change alot.
usaully they get lazier and want more alone time.

tip: pin bedding isnt good for hamsters
maybe zero doesn't like being with the other hamster. Usually hamsters [related or not] don't like being with other hamsters. They sell them like that but they sell fast and they're just babies. Baby hamsters are fine with others but after a while, as they get older, they like to be on their own. Like pet places say, Gerbils love to be in groups but hamsters are PERFERD to be alone.

Camping. Advice and tips?
Im going camping tomorrow i have running water but i dont want to wash my hair until saturday night because i died it last night and its going to fade fast if i wash it...what are some cute hairstyles i could do tomorrow..my hair might be kinda greasy..and a pony tail looks awful on me..Camping. Advice and tips?
I always put my hair in two braids when I camp. It lessens the chance of tangles. Also, I can carry a pack without my hair getting caught up in it. I can get up in the morning, take one side down, comb it out, rebraid, then do the other side.
Having hair not totally clean makes hair stay in place better. Have fun.Camping. Advice and tips?
The most common camping hairstyle is to put it up in a hat! If not, just let it do what it does and try the ponytail because when you are camping, you are not supposed to be concerned with how you look.

chart your fertility!
Fertility charting involves observing and recording your fertility signs so that you can easily see your daily fertility status and identify your most fertile time. It is highly effective because your body provides clues, or signs, that tell you about your fertility status throughout your cycle.
There are only a few days each menstrual cycle that you can get pregnant. Charting your fertility signs can help you find those days so that you can maximize your intercourse timing to increase your chances of conception each cycle. It can also help you make sense of your entire cycle. Even if you do not get pregnant in a given cycle, what you learn from charting your fertility signs that cycle will help you increase your chances in future cycles.
You may have been told that you ovulate or are most fertile on day 14 of your menstrual cycle, mid-cycle or even 14 days before your period is expected. These are myths. While this may be the case for some women, it may not be true for you, even if your cycles are regular. Your own fertility pattern is unique to you and charting your fertility will help you to see it.
Your fertility signs are directly related to the hormonal changes your body experiences throughout your cycle. Recognizing and understanding the role of these signs can offer you the information you need to help you achieve pregnancy, understand your own fertility pattern, and make informed choices at every stage of your Trying To Conceive (TTC) journey.
Charting your fertility signs offers a way to visually make sense of these signs and unravel the mystery of your fertility. Many people are astonished at just how much they can learn by taking a few minutes a day to observe and record their fertility signs. Many more are delighted to discover that charting their fertility signs is all that is needed to time intercourse and achieve pregnancy. Others find that they can identify fertility issues early and decide on a course of action early. It can be an enlightening and empowering experience.

Good luck!Any advice or tips???
You're doing everything you should be doing. And it usually takes about 6 months to a year to be able to get pregnant and if a year goes by and you don't get pregnant try seeing a fertility doctor.
GOOD LUCK!
Have you went to the doctor yet? Maybe there is some underlying condition that you have or he might have.
Good luck :)
Maybe try going to the doctor...there could be something wrong with his little swimmers, or there could even be something up with your own fertility??? Try fertility treatments, or even try the test tube method.
Use the time to get to know your cycle, do the baby dance when you notice that you have cm and hopefully it will happen. If you have longer cycles then you are probably ovulating later in your cycle and for a shorter cycle you are probably ovulating earlier than day 14. Dont forget to just have fun !online cosmetic

Tips for memorization of pieces? (mainly piano but all advice is good!)?
Do any of you have tips on how to make memorization of pieces more easy or at least more efficient? I'm having trouble with memorizing this piece and want to improve my ability to memorize music..thanksTips for memorization of pieces? (mainly piano but all advice is good!)?
What my teacher tells me to do is to visualize the score. You can do it whenever, just try and remember all the notes in order, the fingering (for piano) everything. If you do this often enough and remember where everything is, essentially what you get is a copy of the score clearly printed in your mind. I regularly preform and I have never forgotten a piece or had a mind blank. It is a very effective method.Tips for memorization of pieces? (mainly piano but all advice is good!)?
Here's how I do it.
You need a black marker, a pair of scissors, a notebook with plastic sleeves, and access to a copy machine.
First, run all the pages through the copy machine.
Take the black marker, and on each page, black out one note which you think you can do without.
Put the copies in the notebook and play the piece through once.
Take the pages out of the plastic sleeves, black out a second note on each page, and play the piece through again.
Keep repeating the process until you have play the piece through as many times as there are notes on the page with the most notes.
When you have blacked out all the notes in a large portion of a page, cut that portion out with a pair of scissors.
I have a shocking musical memory, but once I had to memorise a Vivaldi bassoon concerto, which I performed in a concert. I was absolutely terrified I'd have mental blocks, but my method was simply to brainwash myself with the concerto by playing recordings of it over and over, for many weeks beforehand, until it was tattooed on my brain.
Just load the pieces onto your iPod or MP3 player, and just play them until you know the pieces inside-out.
Hope this helps!

I've written an ehow article on this because it gets asked many times a day.

I'm new to the Q/A site, got any advice or tips to share?
Welcome to y!answers..
you should answer alot of questions to get your voice heard! if you ask questions, make them short and funny.. seems to be the ones that get the most attention! and of course choose a best answer! you will score points and possibly make some friends :-)
Good LuckI'm new to the Q/A site, got any advice or tips to share?
Hmm, if you have a question, ask it.
If you know an answer, answer it.
If you have a stupid question, don't ask it.
Whoops, looks like you already screwed up.I'm new to the Q/A site, got any advice or tips to share?
You want to give the best answer possible. Be professional in answering questions. If there is a topic that you are particularly knowledgeable about, you can narrow it down by clicking the subcategories. Actually, I'm pretty new myself so I'm just beginning to figure thing out!
Be prepared to meet lots of people who dogmatically disagree with you. Whatever opinion you can think of, there's probably someone on here who holds it very strongly.
Leave as soon as possible, it is addicting and save yourself while you can. Don't this I'm joking this is way true. Who cares about this dumb website, just go out and live your life.
Don't waist points or time on boring questions.
This place is a jungle.
Be prepared for all kind of animals!
Don't eat the eggrolls
Cultivate a thick skin.
Ask pretty good questions, and ignore those people who call you stupid, and tell you how idiotic your questions are. This is a question answer site, and if you got something to say, there's people here who've got some answers...
Ask away, says I. :-)
keep asking questions whatever in your mind, don't expecting people give compliments
be honest when you answer other's question.

Yeah, girls that can spell.
Don't be too pushy with him, but as the others said concentrate on your english lessons and learn to spell, before worrying about boys - you are still young.

The only suggestion I have is that you are missing the ';Joy of dance';. Relax and have a good time. You got the dance down. Now, enjoy yourself when you do it, and your performance will get better by leaps and bounds!Dancers..... i need advice and tips please?

im not a professional belly dancer but i could tell u definitely got more comfortable as the dance went on.
try smiling a bit more it will make it more exciting for the audience

That was really good for a first performance. Now you have got that out the way you will relax and start to show your enjoyment. You are lovely and loose with your movement so now SMILE! Good luck and well done.
It would be helpful to know which girl you are.

I want to loose 20 lbs. in about 3-5 months. I am 16 and I am about 155...does anyone have tips or good advice
Excerise, eat fruits and veggies. Works good.I want to loose 20 lbs. in about 3-5 months. I am 16 and I am about 155...does anyone have tips or good advice
Drink a lot of water and do not eat any processed foods.I want to loose 20 lbs. in about 3-5 months. I am 16 and I am about 155...does anyone have tips or good advice
eat vegetables and do heavy works and have jugging every morning and control you eating
Losing 20 lbs. in 5 months is a reasonable goal. You need to cut out about 3750 calories per week to lose one pound that week. So you need to cut 500 calories per day. Do you drink a lot of calories, like soda, high fructose fruit juices, frappacinos? Just by cutting those in my diet, I got rid of about 300 unnecessary calories. Then add an activity like walking or jogging. You burn about 100 calories per mile, so walk 2-3 miles per day. Look for other parts of your diet that add unnecessary calories, like candy or sweets. Just by doing these simple things you will lose weight.
Run about 1/4 of a mile later when you really fast in your 1/4 mile then run 1/2 of a mile and keeping going. Do not eat lots of food way over 150 calories. Eat food such as salads fruits vegetable but nothing with grease such as hamburgers hot dogs pizza.
Last spring I went from 206 lbs to 185 in about 4 months. I researched how many calories I could eat to maintain my weight, and then resolved to eat about 300 calories less. I started out by writing down absolutely everything I was eating during the day and calculating from a calorie book how much that was. Over about a week I figured out what kind of meals I could have for breakfast, lunch and supper. I also ran for about 20 minutes a day.
I weighed myself every day first thing in the morning (nude) and recorded the weight. At the end of every week I averaged
the weight for the week. I noticed that my daily weight fluctuated, but the weekly average moved steadily down.
A lot of your work is going to be learning which foods you can eat lots of, and which you have to avoid like the plague - like all junk food, pop, and so on.
It is a science. You simply have to put a little less in your body than it needs, and exercise to build lean muscle.
Look up your ';body mass index'; or BMI on the internet.
If I can do it anyone can! I felt great after losing that twenty pounds and I can say it is still off. Do it! You will love yourself for it.
to lose weight to fast is VERY UNHEALTHY.
you didn't get that heavy in 3-5 months so don't expect to lose it that fast. remember you're still growing and your body is to young for rapid changes.
change your eating habits and start with light work outs and weigh yourself every day.
also remember to respect yourself no matter how much or how little you weigh.
and please, don't let this wanting to lose weight have anything to do with a boy...........please say it's not..
calculate what it should take to maintain your present weight
AND then subtract 15% of those calories
Aim to take off about 2 lbs per week - nice and slow
looks lke you have that goal already
