how painful it is??

any regrets??Please Help Advice and tips needed?????/?
My first tattoo took almost 5 hours, and I have never regretted it!

The best advice I was given about choosing a tattoo design; was to put your intended design somewhere you will see it every day, if after a year you still like it, it means you won't get bored of it being on your skin.

Also where you get it is a big deal. As much as we may all like to think we'll live forever, the fact is that one day you'll be older, and the tattoo may not be so appropriate. Choose somewhere where the skin will stay taught the older you'll get and maybe somewhere you can cover up, if you need to.

As others have said, the pain really depends on where you're getting it done; mine didn't hurt- it felt like a constant cat scratch- the only bit that tends to be a little uncomfortable it when the needle goes over a bone (the spine in my case!)

As to looking after it, keep it really well moisturised, or the scabs will dry out. Savlon is the best for that.

Also don't scratch it! How ever itchy it gets, you'll just end up pulling the pigment out of the skin and be left with patches without colour/design.

And don't soak the tattoo for 2 weeks after you've had it done, as again this can soften the scab too much and the pigment will be lost.

Good luck! Please Help Advice and tips needed?????/?
it feels like a burning feeling but its bearable the best thing to do is relax and after make sure you keep putting the cream on but a good tattooist will give you a after care sheet i was told my tattoo woul take 2 hours but only took 1 an a half hours and its not that painfull
i have 16 tatts, the only pain you will probably feel is when he go's over the same lines over and over which he will do, i have no regrets, but remember, if you decide later you no longer want it, all the colours except green can be removed
I have a tattoo on my shoulder.

It wasn鈥檛 as painful as I thought it would be, it was a comfortable sort of sunburn type pain.

You need to keep the tattoo clean (think just cleaned it with water %26amp; then put Savlon on it), until the scabs fall off.

Don't really have any regrets %26amp; I forget it's there. Though I did go to a wedding at the weekend %26amp; kept it covered up.
it all depends on where you have the tattoo done i have got 3 and a forth one just being drawn up. after care is easy make sure its clean and make sure you use savlon its brill my tattoo healed within 2 weeks and i make sure every tattoo has a meaning before i get it done.
i got a tattoo a few months back which took 2 1/2 hours! I found the initial bit when they put the needles on 1st a bit of a shock but not painful. It is just like a light scratching feeling, there will probably be a bit of blood! I would say don't drink the night before, cause alcohol thins the blood obviously! As for aftercare, they will tell you what cream to put on, you have to keep it well creamed for a while! As for regrets! NONE i got the tattoo which i designed myself for remembrance of my dear mum RIP. One thing i would say is get it somewhere where it can be covered if need be! Good luck
like the others have said it's like a burning feeling.

I went to the chemist and got some numbing gel before i had mine done!!

and BIG regrets!just make sure you've taken into consideration that when you are an old granny, you will have this tattoo somewhere on your body, and that it is something you will eternally like, and not just something you are getting because it seems a good idea at the moment.
Not terribly painful. Similar to feeling a rotary tool on your skin. It's actually just very annoying, it gets old quickly.

I would advise that you bring water along with you in a bottle, you need to keep yourself hydrated while getting it done.

After care, as far as that goes:

When you get home, don't reapply a new bandage to the tattoo. It needs to breathe. Don't put any lotion on it until the 2-3rd day. By then you can apply unscented lotion.

After the first couple of days the tattoo will appear to have a milky substance underneath the ink. The skin will start to scab, but DO NOT PEEL IT OFF. Just keep it moisturized and avoid tight clothing and hot showers.

Good luck! :]
I had 2 stars on the side of my big toe..........it f****** hurt!

Probably not the best place to have your first tattoo as i found out, all the nerve endings and stuff.

Anyway, after the pain of that a few months later I had a small one on my wrist and it just felt like scratching. Maybe i ';psyched'; myself up for the pain!
just had one done on my wrist and it didnt hurt, it was a nice sort of pain!!
